I spent five years as a Certified Cardiac Device Nurse in a busy electrophysiology clinic — interrogating and reprogramming devices across all four major manufacturers, triaging remote monitoring alerts, and translating complex device concepts for patients at the bedside.​

 

When I sat for the IBHRE CCDS exam, I was the only person in my clinic pursuing the credential that year. No study group. No mentor. 

 

I passed. And then I spent a long time thinking about what I would have done differently — and what I would have given to have something that just made the material click.​
