Hi, I'm Brooke.
LPN · CCDS · CRAT · and a lifelong learner who believes the best thing you can do is bring people with you.
I got my start in a busy EP clinic in 2014, spending five years interrogating and reprogramming devices across all four major manufacturers, triaging remote monitoring alerts, and learning how to translate complex concepts for patients who just wanted to understand what was happening in their chest. Since then I've continued working in the CIED space remotely — eleven years in, and this work still gets me.
When I sat for the CCDS exam in 2017, I figured the clinical experience would carry me. What I didn't expect was how alone the process would feel. The resources that existed were expensive — and while thorough, none of them felt like someone was actually in my corner. I passed, but I crossed the finish line feeling like I'd figured it out despite the process, not because of it.
This field asks a tremendous amount of the people in it. And yet the support structures — the mentorship, the community, the accessible education — have never kept pace with what's being asked.
The CIED Mentor is my attempt to close that gap. Not to replace what exists, but to be the thing that was missing for me — a study companion that feels like a colleague who's already been through it and genuinely wants to see you pass.
Sensing. Pacing. Passing. — Brooke
Who Is This For
If you work with implantable cardiac devices and want to grow — not just pass a test — this was built for you.
Nurses, cardiovascular technologists, EP techs, physician assistants, and allied health professionals at every stage of their career. Whether you're studying for your first certification, working remotely and feeling the drift, or just looking for something that feels less like a textbook and more like a conversation.
You shouldn't have to figure it out alone.
